CYBERBULLYING

Hi, I hope you are well, today we will be talking about cyberbullying. But before I start I would like to inform you that I have made a YouTube channel and I request you to go check it out. As I said today we are going to be talking about CYBERBULLYING, consequences of cyberbullying, why do people do it and what can you do about it. So let get on with this post.

What is bullying, many people say that they are being bullied but the question is do you know what bullying is? Well, cyberbullying is basically a form of bullying in which teens and tweens use technology to harass their peers. Cyberbullying has to do with intimidation or mean comments focusing on things like a person's gender, religion, sexual orientation, race or physical differences. Which means the police could get involved, and bullies may face serious penalties.

CONSEQUENCES OF CYBERBULLYING

Let me ask you, have you read nasty comments directed on how someone looks when they post a picture on Instagram? Have you ever laughed along when you heard how someone pretended to have a crush on someone through text messaging, stringing them along until they deliver the crushing blow of... Are you kidding me, no one could ever really like you. I personally have ever been scammed on Instagram, about brands wanting to collaborate with me to steal my money. Getting bullied is one thing, but online is another, it hearts badly because first of all you don't even know what is bullying you. I am sure you have heard those things haven't you. You understand how it hurts, don't you? The pain and public humiliation is the worst and can lead to emotional trauma. And what concerns me most is that teens and tweens today base their value and their worth on how many likes, favorites, retweets, friends and followers they have, I also do that. But what I want you to know... these things DO NOT determine your value at all, your value comes in you as a person.

WHY DO PEOPLE DO IT

I am not a bully myself, so I do not know why they do it, but according to research bullies' bully so they can feel superior and sometimes it is a joke that went to far.

Bullies also bully because they hurt others to feel superior

WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT CYBERBULLYING

Sometimes, people are afraid or not sure if they're being bullied or not. So they don't do anything about it. If you're being bullied or harrased in any way make sure you tell your parents to call the police. Other ways are to block the bully, walk away or report the bully. Ignore all the bad negativity and only concentrating on good things
