Anger management

Hi, I hope you're well. Today I'm going to be talking about something a little different, actually I'm honestly writing from the heart, not from a piece of paper. So today I was watching a video on my phone and I saw a tween shouting at her parents because they had forbidden her to go for a sleepover at a friends place. I can honestly say I was shocked by her behaviour, but the parents were wrong too. I'm not going to go into details about where the parents went wrong but I'm going to talk about anger management for teens and tweens.


Ok so, I know that it is not fair that they forbade her to go, but look at it from the point of the parents. Parents always want the best for their kids which means they will have to make some drastic decisions. Maybe going to sleepovers is affecting your grades in school or character and much more. So today, I'm going to tell you how to deal with anger and stress.

Ways to deal with anger and stress

1. Analyze your anger- What is making you angry? Angry feelings can crop up even when you're not actually angry at a specific person or situation.

2. Express your feelings using the right words- Sometimes when we are angry we say insulting things that offend people and makes the matter worse.

3. Practice relaxation techniques- There are many techniques out there, you just need to get one. eg breathing in and out, yoga, etc

4. Get Physical exercise- Sometimes getting physical exercise helps, so if you are angry start dancing, skipping rope, walking the dog, etc

5. Keep a journal- If you like writing and you are angry just write it out, it helps a lot. I do that all the time when I'm mad. So instead of venting out your anger on your parents just write it out.

6. Listen to music- This is one of the best way to deal with anger. I mean who doesn't like music specifically hip-hop.

7. Get professional help- If all those tips do not help and your anger is getting out of control, consider seeking help from a psychologist.
